Renga-Tei

This restuarant in in the heart of the Ginza district and is moderately priced when compared to others. The food is uniformly mediocre. The $12 salad was mostly lettuce with 2 small pieces of tomato and a couple slices of cucumber with a sliver of onion. They'd be out of business serving this in NY. Most of the food is breaded: pork cutlets, veal cutlets and various fish dishes. They all come with gravy and pearl onions with some pasta having no taste. The meat was ok but no cigar. You don't come to Tokyo to eat this badly. Total bill with 1 beer and 1 coke was $64
